教育部、国家体育总局、共青团中央将从10月26日起联合
开展“全国亿万学生阳光体育冬季长跑活动”。在10月26日至明年4月30日的半年时间里，全国学生将坚持每天长跑。此项长跑的意义何在呢？据教育部下发的通知说，冬季长跑总里程以60公里为基数，以象征新中国成立60周年。其中，小学生为120公里，初中生为180公里，高中生、高校学生为240公里。
要完成这个任务，学生每天长跑距离（参考）基数为：小学生1000米，初中生1500米，高中生、高校学生2000米。

1.幸亏我毕业了。我怀疑那些领导是不是每天坐在办公司里想折磨人的办法。而更奇怪的是，想出一个折磨人的办法后，只要将此办法的意义提升到一定的高度（例如爱国）也就变成了一件功绩。
2.幸亏新中国才60年，要是再长点，估计咱庆祝完新中国的生日后就没学生能活到自己的生日了。

按照通知规定，高校学生每天长跑2000米，总共完成240公里。对此，一位大学生网友在博客中提出质疑。
该学生以所在学校为例：“学校有27个学院，平均每个学院四个年级共约550人，以学院为单位，550人为一批在唯一的一个400米标准操场上
集体跑步。我国著名长跑选手王军霞在第七届全运会上以29分31秒78的成绩打破女子万米世界纪录，平均每1000米3分钟，我们把该速度作为队伍速度计
算，2.6公里需要7.8分钟。”考虑到人数众多，进场、跑步到出场都需要时间，这位网友认为每批学生总共需要25分钟，27个学院跑完则需675分钟，
也就是11.25个小时。
假设同学们与太阳一同起床跑步，除去中午吃饭一个小时，27个学院的同学仍需要在太阳落下后1小时32分钟后才能完成当天的跑步任务。”
